The River Avon offers some of the best cruising in Britain.  The banks are usually low and offer excellent views of the rural landscape and countryside.  The locks are easy to operate and are conveniently spaced.

Barton Moorings marina basin is in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside.  It’s an idyllic location on the River Avon with private moorings for 17 narrow boats or river cruisers up to 70 feet long.  Long term and short term moorings are available all year round.  The tariff is £1 per foot per week, this can be paid annually, quarterly or monthly in advance.  All boat owners must display a valid river boat licence and provide a copy of their insurance and boat safety certificate.  Electric hook ups are available at each mooring.  Other facilities include water points, chemical disposal facilities, refuse and waste disposal.  Calor gas can be purchased from the site next door, and there is free WiFi as well.
